About

I often find myself in the liminal spaces between reality, one’s own perception, and the supernatural. Those places allow me to inspect my own feelings and thoughts, often resulting in eery landscapes and gloomy characters. This is one reason why the name Totentanz (danse macabre) came to mind, another one being that it allowed me to allude to my homeregion with its Totentanz park. Thanks to my environment, I have always been exposed to a lot of different media and artists, which certainly shows in my style and themes.

I was born in Northwestern Switzerland in 1997, where I spent most of my life. In 2023 I graduated magna cum laude from a BA in Eastern European Studies and Japanese Studies. Moving to Finland and being admitted to the Fine Arts Program at TAMK in early 2025, however, felt like the perfect opportunity to heed my inner call to finally become an artist. I currently live in Jyväskylä with my husband .

My current work is mostly traditional: fineliners, 4B-7B pencils, brush pens, and inks. I however also use digital tools to edit and enhance my art.
If my time allows it, I also take photographs of the things that inspire me.
